The therapy model in which I was originally trained, Transactional Analysis (TA), is both a theory of personality and a form of psychotherapy for personal growth and change. A major characteristic of TA is its contractual approach whereby you and I take equal responsibility for pursuing the mutally agreed goals of counselling / psychotherapy.
The aim is for me to provide an environment of supportive, non-judgmental, unconditional positive regard, thus enabling you to explore unhelpful patterns, gain insight into unconscious links with past significant relationships, and to experiment with new ways of being in the present.

I have developed and honed the effectiveness of my practice over the years, through further training and continuing professional development.
As a result, into the umbrella model of TA, I now integrate theories, techniques and strategies drawn from other models, notably the relational and psychodynamic perspectives as well as cognitive behavioural therapy.
